To my fellow forum members,

It is with then most terrible news that I must inform you all with this, so please bear with me and I please ask for your forgiveness for such bad and last minute notifications.  On Saturday, Mrs. Toshi’s scar tissue and her eyes swollen shut.  She was immediately sent to University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Research Center Emergency.  She then was admitted immediately to the Lerner Towers 4th floor Neurological department.

There she was told that on Monday.  She must undergoe another operation to remove what a CT scan as well as a MRI produced and was verified.  It showed that a terrible infection has grown in her cranial cavity and was pushing on her brain and that the bacteria/virus fluids as well as the offending bacteria/virus must be removed.  She then was placed on the fifth floor pre-op room 5056.  Until Monday’s surgery.

On Monday here surgery will require the removal of bone/skull, if the piece of bone/skull is also infected, she will then receive a Titanium plate inserted in place of the bone/skull.  She then would require several skin grafts.  She’ll be hopefully released by the following week without any complications.  Although these complications have a 90% chance of affecting her mental capacities these are (Very normal) in these type of operations.  Besides physical healing there will be mental healing as well.

Like audio and visual hallucinations, exteme psychosis, and a plethora of other mentally challenging psychosis can occur. Then she will require If you can imagine physical therapy also known as (PT), occupational therapy also known as (OT) and a plethora of other therapies.  And a whole slew of other mental psychosis that might put her in a facility called North Coast Behavioral Center.  A nice way of saying that this is a mental institute.  I hope and pray to God, this will not occur.

Over the next thirty to forty five days, she must require home administration of antibiotics inserted via an I V through a stent by in home day care RN’s.  I know this sounds like a lot.  But it could be much worse from my understanding.  I hope to be taking leasuirely walks during spring and summer all the while by the lake side with our beautifully handsome grandson Ezra.

And while she’s resting?  Of course I’ll be back at the bench working on my Japanese GB VII by Gamera/Aircraft Section Tamiya 1/48 Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien “Tony” with a very challenging and most interestingly complicated camoflauge scheme.  I really hope to pull this off as I‘ve never done that before.  In a matter of speaking, Mrs. Toshi and I have never gone through such a medical issue in our lives as well.  Wish us the best of luck in my Kawasaki Ki-61 build and I leave Mrs. Toshi’s illness in the hands of her strong strong and stubborn willingness and the very strong and most delightful healing hands of god!

As always, yours truly, humbly yours, the Toshi’s.

Thank you for the heart warming thoughts.  The only thing the neurologist surgeons told us was that the infection could have been from the surgery.  Yes, your prayers are so fealt and heard by the lord!  Thank you rooster513.

Man, you just can't seem to catch a break. When bad thing's happen to good people, it's alway's hard to understand why. When bad thing's happen to someone you know, it leave's me with a sense of dispair and hopelessness.  I think to myself,  There's nothing I can do to help, how can I do more ?

I'm sending you and your wife as much "POSITIVE" energy as I can. It WILL get better. You can only go up from here.
