Can I get some help. I've been looking for a current Germany  matchup or upcoming game but I can't find them. Does anyone have any ideas? This is frustrating. I really like them but haven't been able to see their matches. I'm sure that they will repeat as champs! No one can touch them, not even Brasil!

Hi Modelmaker66,

Any of the four could win it and I feel sad for the sides and their fans that lose as they are all very good teams.  If I was a betting a man (I am not), I would give Belgium a slight advantage now.  Then maybe the the English followed by the French and then the Croats.  However, I would not be surprised by any of these four winning it - they are all excellent.  Even though the US did not qualify, this has been the most entertaining World Cup I have been fortunate enough to watch.  As an aside, The Guardian has been broadcasting live on YouTube a London watch party when the English play.  It makes watching the broadcast of the match all that much more fun.

Watching every match!  I've lived in Germany and Italy (was stationed in Naples when Maradona played there) and got hooked.

I would like to see a Croatia-Belgium final to guarantee a first time winner, but wouldn't be terribly disappointed with any of the four teams.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

Croatia wins, goes to final. Heck of a match too.

So great to see a match not decided by penalty kicks.

France - Belgium.  England - Croatia.  Both matches left me spent.  Happy for both France and Croatia.  Feel horrible for Belgium and England (Given the quality of the soccer, I would feel bad if the results were reversed, too.). What more can be said except we’ve been witness to a great World Cup and Sunday’s final will not disappoint.

Spectacular!

Both of Croatia's goals were in play goals. My favorite kind of victory. However, Trippier's goal kick was outstanding skill.

Croatia v France. Croatia's first Final Cup Match, I think, right?

I'm an underdogger, so I'm with Croatia. I hope they can recover physically from the over time because France is a good team and they didn't go into over time AND will have one more day of rest advantage.

I think most of the beer that been sold in England recently has been thrown to the gods. I think the lack of experiance showed last night, pity, i was really looking forward to the tabloid headlines that would have come about with England faceinbg the old enemy.

Well done Croatia, castel, a bets a bet, let me know what you want and where to send it.

I watched the England v Croatia game in the airport in Costa Rica.  Being a Yank, I was amazed at the total engagement of most people in the area.  Regardless of the outcome, it was really fun to be there in a country that loves futball/soccer/football.  Really fun.  Pretty exciting game even without the din of an excited crowd.  While I was in Costa Rica I was equally amazed at how many replays, commentary etc ongoing on the tournament on so many channels on TV.  Compared to the states, I'd say it's like Saturday coverage of college football.  Really fun.

So now we're down to Croatia v France.  I have no dog in this fight but I'm looking forward to a great match... and pulling for Croatia as they have never won the whole thing.

Thanks,

John

Well they gave it a shot. Strange match too. But I do like to see a match decided in play.

Well, we made it to the finale, we beat Argentina, Russia etc. It was a great game and hats down to France, they really played better, especially in the second half. Over all, nothing to complain about, great tournament, great games and we made it to the finale. To think that for the next 4 years there is only one country better then us is quite something. We will celebrate second place, well done Croatia. Let the beer flow :-) :-) :-)
