Yeah , I do them .
Why? Well , to give all of you food for thought .If Model railroaders can go so far as putting fish in a lake that can be seen in 1/87 ( H.O.) then why can't we do something off the wall? Listen , it's all well and good that we model .
What do you do to relax your thinking processes during a difficult or time consuming build? Well , try something totally out of the box, that's what! My post on Walnuts is a good example .
I have learned to just let the Creative Juices ( if you wanna call them that ) flow . Last decade I decided to do something Not plastic or Resin .So, I took some wood in certain sized blocks .The end result ? Twelve different hand carved wood speed-boats from the fifties .Full interiors , guages and 1940s steering wheels and all the deck hardware as well .
Total time with painting and all the other scratch work ?Two weeks . Then I went back to my commission work refreshed and unable to get bad results .Why ? I stopped the flow of Bad or Weird posts to my mind .Didn't have this thing I am typing on yet !
Being able to see something else in house-hold items or plumbing supplies sometimes is a curse .I have more junk that Fred Sanford had .Pipes , Pieces of wood .Scrap electronics etc. Yet, I stilll manage to fascinate the crowd at the Museum with the builds I do for them .
So bear with my weird posts , Will Ya? and see the humor behind them as well .Some folks tell a fine guffaw generating joke .Me, half the time I can't even get the punch line right .So I make funny in other ways, with a purpose. Open yer eyes folks , there's more than Walnuts out there ! LOL.LOL.Lol. T.B.
