Modelcrazy's 5 year anniversary thread got me thinking,would be fun to figure out who is the longest serving member.There are many left from when I started,but many are gone.so when did you sign up ?

Of course,many years doesn't make the contributer,many new guys are really fun and informative.

So I started March 2003

There isn't anyone who's join date is before Dec 2002. There was a major upgrade and everyone had to re-register.

I think i first signed up in 2001.

I think you are right; they had a forum added to their original website for the magazine and then relaunched with the forum integrated into the website. FSM had been my main modeling magazine for about a decade prior to the website forum.

I think you are right; they had a forum added to their original website for the magazine and then relaunched with the forum integrated into the website. FSM had been my main modeling magazine for about a decade prior to the website forum.

 

Same here. In about 89 a friend gave me an older copy and i subscribed soon after. It was one of the first sites i looked for when i first got a PC. I wasn't keen on the format, i found it confuseing. I was pleased when they re-did it.

Oh that’s interesting. Hadn’t thought about it, but I used to get Model Railroader magazine way back, like mid sixties.

Kalmbach is a great publisher, for sure.

2003-think it may have been a bit earlier but given the 'restructuring' and my poor memory, I'll go with 2003..haven't done a good job of completing projects lately but I do have a nice stash for the Shelf of Doom GBs....a lot of good people and great modelers here-both past and present

I had all the FSM maybe missing a couple,had to dump them all when I moved,just too much,always used to leaf thru them while riding the stationary bike.
