I had a great day today. I went to the BMW Championship at Medinah Golf Club

My wife and I went the the BMW Championship today at Medinah Golf Club to watch the world's greatest golfers play as only they can play. Medinah is a very, very very private golf club, around 300 members,  just west of Chicago. To become a member, a current member has to sponser you and the club's board of directors needs to invite you. Guess what, I'll never be a member. It has three 18 hole golf courses and  is incredibly beautiful.

This club opened in the early 1920's and the fairways are lined with 100 year old Oak trees. Above is a shot of the 17th green at Medinah. The tee is on the other side of the water. Anyway, we sat near the 16th green. This must be a tough one because a lot of golfers struggled with it. Tiger blew an easy putt and bogeyed. A great way to spend a nice summer day in Chicagoland.

Beautiful weather!

My wife and I volunteered at the US Open this year.

Four days 5-9 am at the gate. Seven day passes and parking.

Lots of fun.

 Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Hmmm;Pebble-Beach::

   They have days when the general Public can play. Just pony up with the Greens Fee!

   Did it once on my Honeymoon to the second beautiful Lady, cause she loved the game too.

  Expensive, but darned well worth it! A member and his wife gave that day to us as a gift! When My missus told me of it, knowing this was exceptional, we used the day. Played eighteen.

   Beautiful and Serene, that day the breeze was a gentle one that didn't hurt my game any.

Yep, Pebble Beach is unworldly in it's natural beauty. It should be on every golfer's bucket list.

There were big thunderstorms on Saturday night. Lightning hit Phil Mickelson's hotel building. Everyone had to be evacuated. He almost missed his tee time because he had no golf clubs and clothes.
