I'm not sure I would call it "monovision", and it sure as shiite isnt intentional, but April of 2018 I had a partial retinal detachment. I had the surgury to fix it, life was good...until just after Christmas 2018. The same issue that caused my retinal detachment (basically, super-nearsightedness, which has my eye stretched out, coupled with "thicker than normal" eye jelly) caused a blood vessel to develop a small tear, causing my vision to fog in my left eye. Went back to the surgeon, basically he said it will more than likely clear up on its own. a few weeks go by, and my vision gets better.
A few weeks later, something similar occurs, so I go back to Wills Eye. My doctor explains to me that basically, this will probbly keep occuring, and to permanently fix it, I need another surgery, where they go in, remove my super thick eye juice, and I guess, give me some artificial eye juice...well, I am not in the fincancial position for another 1700 dollar surgery, so, for now, I am stuck with about 60 percent vision in my left eye. it gets to be a pain in the asp sometimes, but I am coping....
