Began My Last Move Today
Posted by Tojo72 on Friday, October 4, 2019 5:11 PM

The new house is finished,we began a 4 week process of moving in.Will be in by 10/30 pretty exciting stuff.

The good news is that my completed builds survived the interstate move and 16 months in storage. So far no damage has been noted. With my aircraft I put a layer of that cotton candy like foam, laid the plane on top, then added more foam, when I closed the box, nothing moved.Open canopies and pitot tubes survived. The armor I put one or two in plastic shoe boxes, surrounded them with foam, and then packed 4-6 shoe boxes in a cardboard box with foam around the shoe boxes to keep them still.

Tomorrow,I will begin to check my stash kits for damage or warpage.

Oh yeah,I guess I need to worry about moving actual household stuff too Big Smile Thats going good too.

As I begin to put the new work area together,I will post some pictures.

Hello!

That's good news! I will have to do something similar, soon - just my move is really close, but still I have to move some finished builds. Good luck with your new house and have a nice day

That's great! Enjoy your new crib.

Wanna see piccies!

I worked with a guy, we had a big complicated and expensive architectural model, pro job. He put it on the roof of the car while he unlocked the door, got in and drove off. It stayed up there for about a block.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Hope your move goes smoothly, Tojo.

I see! After that wait (and your patience), the move-in should be all that much sweeter, then. Balloons
