uspsjuan - very heavy!

JohnnyK - didn't come with the chair, though I know what you're referring to and wish I had one.

Thanks,

John

Very nice looking desk. Did the desk come with the matching tanker chair? The big steel monster with the big adjustment knobs and coil springs.

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

I used to have one of those! It had a sheet of glass on top that made it perfectly flat. It was great. Had to leave it behind when I move out of that house. Damn thing was heavy as hell. Fast forward a bunch of years. Wife's boss was remodeling his office and I got his "old" executive desk for free. Large top,6 drawers and sturdy.

Getting the Multi-purpose room back in order
Posted by keavdog on Friday, December 6, 2019 1:30 AM

Our 'multi-purpose' room serves as my home office, model bench, aquariums, guitars, and my wifes sewing and doll house room.  I've been looking for an office desk for quite some time to replace my foldout costco desk.  I was looking for a vintage tanker desk - built like a bomb shelter and miles of desktop.  I had one years ago but let it go.  So a couple weeks ago I found one near by for a reasonable price.  They have gone through the roof price wise - especially if they are fully refurbished.

So I got my Steelcase tanker desk, brought it home and have set up my office section of the multi-purpose room.  Very happy, got a good deal and have since put my model bench back in place (I had to remove a lot of stuff to put the beast in place) ... so back at building soon.

Thanks,

John
