Thank you for remenbering. My father fought the Japenese in the south pacific in the navy in world war II. It's not politically correct I guess to bring the day and the war up, but the autrocities commited by the Japenese soldiers against pearl harbor personnel, the treatment of pows in their care and the inhumanity against the Chinese and other south pacific men, women and children cannot, nor should not be forgotten or excused.
All that is remebered is the use of 2 atomic bombs and is considered inhumane. Ending the war that way saved an estimated 500,000 US soldiers and maybe twice that in Japanese soldiers and citizens because they would not accept peace after beginning the hostilites against all the nations they invaded and attacked.
