Been a rough day had to put Diesel down this morning. He couldn't breathe anymore. Had lymphoma. But he made 16 years old. He's now not in pain anymoreCrying

He'll be waiting for you there on the other side and you can play with him again.

God Bless and take care.

We have an ornament for all of our furry friends, past and present. Currently five on the tree.

I'm so sorry Johnny, that is so hard to deal wih. I believe it's harder to lose a pet than a family member. You can talk to a family member and express your feelings, pets don't inderstand to the level we do.

Thanks guys. Was hoping he would make it through the holidays but he couldn't even walk around the room without getting very winded. Funny story is he was a Humane Society mutt. My nephew got him, when he left home Diesel started with his parents, then his parents got divorced, so he moved in with my mother-in-law who then moved in with us. So he's had four different homes and never left the family

Very sorry to hear this, tj.  It's one of the most difficult things.  But:  "even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the master's table."

Diesel is in good hands.

   My deepest condolences as well tempestjohnny, pets are a huge part of my family....more fur than humans in my house. Releasing one to the next adventure is never easy but as said they will be waiting, until then love them in memory and know that critter lovers of the human kind who have gone before us are making thier transition easier. BTW pound mutts are the best....cats too but I never said thatWink

Brother, I totally feel your pain. I've had to put down 4 dogs in 4 years. It's been two now since the last one. It sucks so bad to lose them. I'm just happy I had each and every one, even when I lose them. They are totally worth the hurt.

Hi;

      I feel right with you. I had to put down my Daschund that was a " Puppy Gift" for our Wedding from my wife. She made home fun for eight years. I hope to be lucky enough to see her again. So, with that remember Diesel will be the first to greet you. Tail wagging at light speed. T.B.

So sorry for your loss Johnny. I know what you're going through. I've had to put down a few of my little friends over the years. On the bright side, I'll have a heck of a welcoming comittee waiting for me on the other side of the bridge. You will too.

If he could talk he would thank you for this kind act. I still have trouble coming to terms with the loss of one of our dogs from over 10 years ago. I have more emotion at the loss of my pets than close family or releatives. I wish you the best during this time.

Sad to hear, Johnny. I offer my sincere condolences, you did exactly the best thing, letting him go peacefully and ending any suffering. I'm happy to know that the old fella had been loved for so long.

Thank you for being such a good provider for him.

Sorry for your loss Johnny. I have a 13 year old Golden Doodle and I dread this day. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear TJ, I still see when we had to put down our Lab Buddy due to a bad tumor. It's NEVER easy doing this but like you said, no more pain.

Sorry to hear about your Diesel.  May you find peace in the happy memories of Diesel and remember that he is out of pain and in a happier place.

Thanks everyone. We knew it was time. His health deteriorated pretty quick.
