I use adblocker, too - found online & installed.  It's free if you want it to be, but a small donation helps them to keep offering this very welcome service.

Thanks for the info on adblocks plus.  Just installed it and seems to be fine.  I have to say that the amount of ads on this site has actually turned me off this forum.  I hope this will indeed fix that.

Yea I started getting the annoying small video window pop up on my I Phone and tablet using Safari and the included pop up blocker is on. Happens only on FSM. I have to x it out now and then when it appears. I don't know if it's ok to install adblock on my I Phone.

I the down side for me, my computer did a Windows 10 update and now Chrome collapses seconds after I start it. I now have to use MS Edge or IE to surf the web.

You might want to read these 2 articles, it's actually a common problem;

Yes, my son's friend has the same issue with his desktop. Now if I can only figure out how to fix it. Thanks for the links.

EDIT: I checked my settings and Chrome is still listed as my default browser, but when I click my chrome button the program opens and closes seconds later.

Sorry it didn't work. You could try changing your default browser to Edge, shut down and restart your computer then switch back to Google Chrome once your restart is complete. Unfortunately every time Microsoft rolls out a feature update your default settings get changed to what they consider to be a recommended default setting. It gets very aggravating and it happens without your even knowing about it.

Mrs 6390 just bought a new laptop (I'm using it to type this), which came with MS Windows 10, the web browser that came with it is Microsoft Edge.  The installed version has an extra bit with an "S" suffix, and it stops you from downloading any apps which are not Microsoft - obviously, including Google Chrome and Adblocker. There is a way to turn the "S" bit off, so you have a normal version of Windows 10 as your OS, but can now install other apps, and have whatever web browser you like.  Some clever people have posted instructions on the internet, otherwise I'd never have figured it out.  A quick search (even with MS Edge!) should bear fruit, should you choose to try it.

Yes, it is annoying and I actually had to change my default to Edge because if I clicked on a link, it would start to open the page in Chrome, and then close seconds later.
