Before you get a chance to view these next lot of stamps, I'll try my best in identifying, locationing, and so on of these stamps originated from where it originally come from.

Honest to goodness great work Mr. Dodgy for taking the time out in as from the care and proper archiving to be able to present itself.  Time and time again I've seen official stamps from other countries that were an absolute disaster.

First off are stamps from Aden.  Peninsula on S. Coast of Arabia.  Crown Colony since April 1st, 1937.  Importing oil bunkering and coaling station and port of call.  Area:  75sq.  m.  Population :  70,516 Stamps first issued, 1937.

Looking down on some of stamps it gives off a sheen almost foil like.  I do own a stamp celebration of the first American/Man on the moon.  That stamp also has a designed foil like finish, but nothing like the last two stamps.

To photograph stamps with a foil finish is very difficult.  Either too much light and or too little lighting can ruin your photograph pic!

The rest of this lot goes from more plants and fruits and a most unusually interesting stamp of a Scarlet Parot.

Next up is great for you Ornathalogist,  it's a stamp that has a Fire Crested bird from Bailiwick of Guernsey.

A lot of stamps from different countries and even the same counties will give up its description, age, where abouts, and most important of all (In every single hobby out there, the product you're collecting matches to your own taste!) I always emphasize collecting in a hobby needs to be extremely fun.

I have only one caveat in that everything and I mean everything needs to be catalog, photo taken, price paid, and priced to sell.  That way if you get into a bind financially, your immediate return can be very rewarding.  Especially if it's organized.  On the other hand, if your collection stays within the family (1-2 generations could be a sellers market well that would be simple and the collection can be an estate sale.

I still call myself a budding novice in the world of building kits, and it goes to say for collecting stamps, coins, and football cards.

It's a fantastic and a very spiritual feeling of knowledge on how others from around the world can unite and share these hobbies we've come to know and love, especially if our better halves or (Spouses) can share our hobbies in a meaningful way.

I'll be taking Mrs. Toshi into the University Hospitals Portage division to figure out what's wrong with her.  On Saturday, we took Ezra to a corn maze and were getting ready for a hay ride when she split and fell.  Luckily no major injury like broken bones accured.

I still want Mrs. Toshi to go in and at the very least get an X-Ray as a thin fine lined fracture can be dangerous.  I'll keep everyone posted.  Stamp number 2 has been through a lot of which tells me it's a much older stamp.  Stamps such as this will normally be anywhere from 75 to 100 years old.

The 3rd & 4th stamp portrayed are of the same design except it's cancelation post mark that make things so cool that if you've missed something it could turn in a tragedy or extra Christmas bonus.  Lol!

It took me a while to figure it out but it's an ancient fishhook made out of bone usually a sharks tooth and coconut weave of a length or so of string in place of the clear nylon type we use currently.  How do I know this?  As a child/young man  I recall my father and I fishing in the very Non-Tourist atraction section of Waikiki beach.

Another hint that gave these 2 stamps authentic?  It's a manual stamp cancelation of which I will presume, one cancellation is much more prevalent than the other.  And that leaves us 1 stamp of a conch.

Dodgy

Hi Toshi. I'm glad you liked the album. It is an absolute pleasure to be able to do something for someone else. I just love the fact that I am on a forum where I am communicating with folks from around the world. It has proven to me that even though there are many differences, there is also much the same. If ever this website closes I would like to keep in touch with the friends I have made on the FSM forums. Hopefully some others feel the same.

Toshi, Jill and I are about to start sorting out our collection of used Australian stamps. I know that there will be duplicates and once finished, I will post these to you as well.

It's an absolute treat to have such great FSM Forum Members and their spouses to be in such a sharing of hobby(ies).

That's what such a shock as well in that I'm (As you, yourself) completely surrounded by not just friends within the community that have access to millions of other builders and collectors from around the world!  Ten to fithteen years ago this was a impossibility.  Today at a click on our smart phones, we are able to communicate without question.

Something leaders around the world can learn from FSM Forum Members.  As for the doubles, I hope it was of no inconvenienc to the both of you.  Once again thank you in advance!

This next lot of stamps reflect on the New Hebreides, Ireland, Norfolk Isaland, and some others that'll be researched in time.  Thank you FSM Forum Members!

I need to do some really difficult research on some of these stamps sent to me by Mr. Dodgy.  A good exmple would be some loose stamps.

There are a small handful of stamps that I at some point do recall from when I used to collect seriously back in the Netherlands in Amsterdam.

Of course this was during the late 80's.  I was still a teenager!  Lol!  Now I have Ezra running around in our condo and in the garden common areas screaming "PAPA". Lol!

The stamps I have reflected on at this point is a matter of deduction.  I know for a fact that a portrait displayed below is of the Queen of England.

It's also a matter of fact that almost every country that is a commenwealth of the British Empire has these same designs as the same with many of the other comenwealth Nations.

So as I go along to organize this very exciting stamp album from Mr. Dodgy, I'll be looking into the type, how many perforations are included horizontally as well as vertically.  So I'll be looking into how, what, or when these stamps were released.  Until then please enjoy the stamps below.

Your friend's, Toshi & Ezra

P.S.  These stamps could also be part of an Australia release.

Besides Australia, the other stamps that are representative from other countries are Papua New Guinea, Antuiga, Barbados, to name a few.

The 10th stamp shows a train going at it's maximum speed.  Also, I figure this stamp will be interesting for those of you that are interested in trains especially if you have a train set.

Tanker-Builder

Hi Tosh;

As I have mentioned, some of the BEST Steamboat art I have found is on stamps.

I completely agree with you!  In general a actual mock representation is made by the artist(s) involved.

It be in clay, drawing, and or another type of program computer drive.  Then a committee will give the stamp design a thumbs up with a green light.

I do believe that even the President of the United States of America was an advid stamp collector, Roosevelt.

He disliked being called a philatlic, he made sure those around him understood that he was just a collector of stamps.  Thank you so very much for stopping by.

Even before I took a look at the collection there were two stamps that was a little loose.  Before I made a examination, at first it looked like a pair of stickers.

Or so I thought!  These were some of the most interesting stamps I've ever come across.  It's like having a stamp shaped like the island of Honolulu, Hawaii and utilized as postage.

Can you imagine all 50th states and having each and every 50 states stamp in the appropriate shape!  Now that would be so cool.

My other hobby volume II a gift from Dodgy
Posted by Tosh on Saturday, October 24, 2020 7:15 PM

I've been taken away all around the world.  And I want to thank Mr. & Mrs. Dodgy for doing this. The wonderful gift of a world wide stamp collection; of "Britannia" was sent to me all the way from Down Under Australia!  This gesture was being so gracious to me!!!!

A stamp collection can and will allow you to do that.  Little pictures of art.  So will other hobbies just as an example cars.  A car design will not only take you back in time but brings back long ago memories as all of you may know by now.  My other hobby volume I is also a hobby that details a stamp collection.

The majority of my My other hobby volume I on New Discussion Topic, is a collection that garners the attention of United States of America.  This involves some unusual and rare collections, and not to forgoe the Football card collection.  Another hobby collection on sports.

This wonderful gift from Mr. Dodgy is a completely new territory for me.  Of course you all may recall my Topical stamp collection for WWII.

That's the only stamp collection of mines that somewhat covers other nations but nothing like what Mr. Dodgy has sent me.  Again thank you Mr. & Mrs. Dodgy!

Your friend's, Toshi & Ezra
