This isn’t a rant about customer service. It’s another tale of Internet Hobbies ripping somebody off.

I know that the search engine on FSM is pretty worthless, but I bet if you google “internet hobbies complaints” you’ll get plenty of such stories for items on order or in stock.

How do they stay in business? They keep getting money, that’s how. They sure do not sound to deliver much in the way of goods or services. How much does it cost to run a website on your own if you know how to do so?

Forget the BBB they have no teeth,if they are as fraudulent as many different threads say they are,they probably don't care what the BBB says

If you used redit or debit card talk to the issuer. If you use PayPal contact them.

Hi John;

   Rant-NO! I have always wondered how since the late to middle Nineties where real customer Service has gone. Store-Credit or, Well take it to the outlet where you got it and have them exchange it. B.S.

   Customer service died the Day the Music Died as far as I am concerned. I was taught that Customer service is what will build or destroy your Company and Reputation. So go the extra mile-What will it get you? A loyal return customer and his or her money.

Space Ranger, Yeah, but all of the things I had read said it was for back ordered items or pre-orders.  Internet Hobbies appeared to say this one was in stock and ready to go, so I took that chancce.  In part, that is why I worded the post as strongly as I did, so there would be no questions in anyone's mind that they are never worth using at all.  The burned hand teaches best, I guess.

Internet Hobbies has a very poor reputation. I'm sorry about your experience, but an Internet search, including a search of this forum, or at least an inquiry, before you placed your order would have revealed many similar complaints and saved you a lot of grief.

I can't believe I have to do this, but take as a warning based on my bad experience to never, ever, under any circumstances, use Internet Hobbies.  Before Christmas last year, I ordered an Italeri 1/72 scale B-58.  I sent my money in and was promised delivery before Christmas.  No where on the web site was any indication that this was a pre-order for an un-released kit.  When I wrote to check on it, I was told that the model had not been re-released from Italeri but they were expecting it next month, which I took to mean January, 2020.  I have sent periodic emails, and always get back an excuse that the model hasn't actually been released but they expect it soon.  The web site eventually got updated with the fact that the model had not been released yet.  Now it has been, according to Italeri's site, and Internet Hobbies has it showing available on their site as well.  You would think that this would mean that I would have tracking information on the the way with a shiny new kit arriving in my mail box any day.  No such luck.  In fact, when I sent an email demanding either tracking information or a refund, I was told that since the order was from 2019 all they could offer was a store credit.  REALLY?!?!?!?!?  I will be taking this to the Better Business Bureau reporting Internet Hobbies for this miserable experience and seek their advice on reporting this to a States Attorney as possible fraud or at least misleading advertising.  I have no idea how they stay in business with miseable customer service like this.

Sorry for the rant.
