Sounds like Blue-tongues have a lot going on in their heads too. Its amazing the stuff that some reptiles figure out how to do...and once they figure something out, they remember. My male ig actually taught my female how to use a litterbox, no intervention or help needed from me.

Awsome Eaglecash I'd love to meet an iguana, they sound like fascinating creatures. And yes it is a bluetongue. Just a little bloke though. We have several of them living in our yard. Although how he found his way inside has me buggered.

Iguanas are fantastic pets, just as long as you're prepared for what happens on the rare occasions you might get bitten. Their teeth are almost identical to tiger shark teeth, so they can easily do a lot of damage, even when they don't mean to. Had a few trips to the ER over the years. For the most part though they're docile, extremely intelligent (can even learn things from other animals by observing them, including communication), and even see you as their friend and want to hang out with you. My female iguana used to get jealous of my cat and would sometimes chase him away when she thought he was getting too much attention from me. LOL. She only did that when I was around though...the two of them were actually best buddies.

My cat has actually been really useful in finding bits and pieces of things I have dropped on the floor. Had a spray nozzle come off a can of Gunze Mr. Super Clear Semi-Gloss while I was shaking it and I didn't even know it had flown off until I tried to paint the thing I was trying to paint. I stole one off of one of the other cans, wondering if maybe it just didn't have a spray nozzle when I bought it. About 3 days later, in the middle of the night, I heard a clunking sound out in my living room, so I went to go see what my cat was up to. There it was, the missing nozzle that had suddenly become the coolest cat toy ever. I felt bad about taking it away from him when he was having so much fun with it, so I gave him another toy and some treats.
The cats I have had have never been much of a problem with damaging things, since they have enough dexterity to step over, around, and in between things without touching them. The 2 iguanas that I used to have (Had 1 for 25 years, and the other for 17...so they both lived long lives) on the other hand...they were a different story. Like us iguana owners used to say, "Iguanas have all the curiosity and intelligence of a cat...but none of the grace."

Our Calico likes to lay down in my airbrush booth when I'm at the bench. Occasionally I'll find a fine white hair in what should be a smooth metallic finish!

One time I had a sprue still in the clear bag that our cat carried up two flights of stairs to office room upstairs. Just recently, our new long hair kitty exploring around a book case got on the top shelf and knocked three on the basement floor. One, an AFV Cub 8 inch howitzer, busted pretty good. Anoher, a Academy kit of an Ontos, also damaged. Other models occasionly have little parts taken and then I find them in random places in the house. It keeps me on the look out.
Was working on one of those Italian sailing ship kits the "Irish Maid" a while back and had the plans laid out on the floor of the spare bedroom I used as my workroom. Took a break and when I got back the plans were in shreds all over the floor. That was the first time my cat had done any damage in the room. Took an old spare screen door and put it on the bedroom. She sat outside the door and watched from then on. Took me quite a long time to get another set of plans.

Oh yeah, She is a cute little monster. Though, it is one of the older ones that steals things from my desk top. She has a special affinity for paperclips.

Mine likes to steal bits of sprue, toothpicks, tape etc from the workbench and try to kill the dog. So far she hasn't gotten to my shelves where the built kits are. But she's part of every kit unboxing and has a curious affinity for the plastic wrap the sprues come in

Yes, cats and their innate curiousity plus gravity, compounded by height are two of the biggest threats to our labors. I don't have a cabinet for my builds so bookcase shelves are their display locations (maybe someday I will learn!).
Fortunately this particular crash was not overly devastating and a comparitively easy fix; thank goodness.
