Although I've already posted a picture of one build here, another thread on "engineering or artist" got me thinking about another build that I liked, eventhough my building skills at the time may have been a bit rusty and crude.

This build was something I did based on some stuff I was involved with at work, on trying to come up with different ideas that could be used on amphibious vehicle designs to try and improve their performance is water.  One thought I had was to try and taper the front of the vehicle body just a little to make it a little less blunt and another involved potentially adding a "buoyancy" collar to the vehicle to help keep its nose up.  To help better show my ideas I bought an inexpensive model of a marine AAV7 and altered its shape a little with clay and wood, as shown below.

Since this was one of the times that I had the chance to try and use my model building skills for something semi-work related its kind of also a build that I liked, even if my paint job and detailing was a little rough at the time.

Sounds like a really good idea and clever way to demostrate it.

Gamera, those are all great builds, but that Avenger is increadible.  I take it that bird flies from the USS Shamrock Bay.

Big thanks! I'm very pleased with how she turned out but she probably looks better in the photo than person. 

I think the decal sheet just gave the pilot's name but I loved the shamrock and couldn't resist using it.

I have two that are my mainstays and given half a chance I'll enter them both in a Nationals event if there is ever one close enough to go to.

My first will be my Fw190D-9. In this build l learned alot pertaining to paint and weathering as well as kit bashing.

And my Monogram 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A that I took apart in late 2014 and put back together using today's skills. When I built it originally at age 13/14 it was my favorite automotive build at that time because it was the best gloss job I'd ever done at that point. When I rebuilt it at age 46, it was again..............the best gloss / paint work I'd ever done. Had a complete blast BOTH times I built this one.

Those are two beautiful builds Mustang!
