Pictures of your favorite build

My favorite is and always be my 1/48 C-130 with LED's.  It's my favorite plane.  They've been stationed at the local air base since 1971, and that is coming to an end this summer.  They are transitioning to KC-135's.  I feel like I grew up with the C-130's in a way since I've lived here my entire life, and they've always been flying overhead.  I had to make something that would bring a smile to my face every time I looked at it, just like the real thing.

So far my top favorite would be my heavily modified 1/35 Tamiya M-48. Had lots of fun with upgrades and scratch building.

 I still need to dirty it up a lot more.

Mine has to be my Musashi wreck.

My favorite build although definately not the easiest was this 1/48 Monogram B-26 with complete AM PE interior

Unfortunately, I accidently deleted my 2012 album on P/B...which had all the pics of the 1/48 Fairey Barracuda.

Hmm, Tough decision among several others. Visually I like the Me-262. Fun wise, I like my personalized P-51 which makes me smile since I can't afford a real one. LOL!

I really enjoyed building this small 1/76 vingnette and I like the way it came out. I did it 3 years ago. 38t panzer is Fujimi and figures are Pegasus. Vallejo paint. It didn't take forever to build which was another thing that made it fun.

Really tough call. But if i had to choose one, it would be the 72nd Huma DFS 230. Not so much the subject but the scene and the story behind it.

Hard to pick, but I like my Egyptian Sherman with AMX 13 turret.

It all started when I came across a photo and later a walk-around of the real thing at the Israeli tank museum.

For right now, it's this one. Over 30 years wanting to build it. Thanks to Cutting Edge for providing decals. I lived in Olathe as a wee lad, and the magazine pic that inspired it was from an old "Air Combat" from the mid 70's that my dad had from when I was young. Took a lot of hacking of the Hasegawa kit, and it still needs rocket rails and weathering, but I have it.

Olathe, North of me in Parsons Kansas. Many decades ago while taking a Naval Aviation test there, they treated me with a ride in a SNJ, front seat no less! Off we went for some aerobatics and stick experience. There was a carrier deck painted on the runway and we did that. Quite the adventure! It was the era of Cougars and the new Skyray.

I have decals for that bird....if I'll ever do it, I don't know. I've thought about doing it and giving it to my old boss in Olathe...maybe someday! I laid a lot of brick in and around Olathe.

I wish the backgound wasn't my garage, because lighting in these pictures somehow gave me the feeling of the opening scene in the movie "Bridges at Toko Ri" that inspired me to build this model.  

Lots of great work here.  I am especially impressed with the sunken Musashi - truly some awesome work (and that is not to leave out anyone else's work here).

As for my own work, I find that I cannot choose just one.

I realize that I violated the terms of the original post but I truly cannot pick just one! I could have picked many more to include that I am quite proud of, but I will leave it with these.  If I had to pick just one favorite, it would come out of this group, and would probably be the bubbletop P-47.

Love that Corsair Miss., Gorgeous, Mean, and a paint scheme you don't see everyday. Gotta get those rockets on!!

Here's mine, (IMO) best model I've completed; first model I did a significant (though not compared to most) amount of scratchbuilding on (mounting bosses); first model I strove for some sort of accuracy with; first completed attempt at figures (mainly because I'm never happy with them); Persistence with it...first attempt at the camo was crappy and I didn't take the easy way, stripped the paint and tried again; and well, it's a Marine vehicle, ooh rah! 

I can't pick just one. But if I have to pick one aircraft and one armor build for aircraft up to this point I pick my 1/48 build of Flak Bait. I went all out and between scratch work, the spares bin, salvaged parts from old builds, I detailed the full interior...

And for my Armor builds it will probably be this DML 1/35 T26E3

This dirty rusty tractor would be my choice as one of the favorites. There are 1 or 2 others that I would post but I can't get to them as photobucket is down or VERY slow , I am done with them. Moving to imgur.com

Since that I only have one build under my belt, it will have to be this one.

I am going to post two... my favorite aircraft kit, and favoraite armor kit.

First up, my Academy 1/35 M4A3 with T-34 Calliope Rocket Launcher. From what I gather, the Sherman is Academy's and the rocket launcher assembly is Italeri's. The only after market I bought for it was a set of Kaizen tracks and duckbills to replicate what the actual vehicle had. I also did some extensive scratch building, including the wiring for the rocket launcher.This is a favorite because it turned out pretty much like th photo I used for reference.

The next is a recent one. Eduard 1/48 Bf109E-4 ProfiPACK edition. Excellent kit and my first successful aircraft kit... at least to me.

Wow, everyone's kits look fantastic!  I clearly need more practice to catch up!

I had seen those posts about the old battleships conversions a few months ago while researching the old Revell Arizona kit.  They are incredible.   Do you have images of the completed builds?
