Bought this as a present for my birthday two months ago and never got around to posting it. Have about a dozen M4s but this is my first M3...

Am currently building the older model of the P-38 from Tamiya and loving it. So when I saw this at the local hobby shop picked it up as an early Christmas present for myself and to give the hobby shop a little help.

I've been tempted by some of those ICM vehicles.  Pics if you can please.

Last of what I had on order came in from Hannants and the Czech republic.  I'll be converting this to a Marine KC-130J Harvest Hawk from VMGR-352 the Raiders out of Miramar (as part of my aircraft of miramar theme).  The resin from Brengun looks great and I was happy to see that the kit from the 'used' section of Hannants was all sealed in factory bags in the box and comes with a beautiful 47 walkaround booklet from Italeri.  On the shelf it goes

Over the last couple of months I've added a few to the stash. Buying only those that are "cheap" compared to the going price. I've started adding bits for my CVN-65 build so that one is getting pricey now. I also jumped on this 48th scale Tiger I as it has full interior and is done by UStar, I think I heard Takom had a hand in it, not sure. Should be fun.

Thanks Brandon! Jealous of those armour kits you've added too! Love the M10 and Easy Eight Sherman- the Tiger and vintage Tamiya kits are awesome too! Even the cool '69 Camero!

Okay, those armored cars are super cool. We don't have enough WWI stuff available, but it's getting better.

Its a "new" re issue of the molds. Hobby Lobby carries this kit currently. The only Thunderbirds that Revell/Monogram had done in 1/48 previously was the F-16 and F-100.

Yeah, they sure were fun to run and most all the participants were great folks. It does seem like there are far fewer of the Monogram Mafia folks left on here nowadays.

TJ, I'm definitely going to be making Yeager's mount. But at least one more P-51 on here is very tempting as well.

Brandon, I'm really looking forward to the Bradley. After a quick look at the box contents last night the "wow factor" was way up there! The only other M3 Bradley that I have is the original 1984 Tamiya issue. I have several of the M2 variants, but its really nice to get a late variant M3 to round out the family.

Well I did a thing. I pulled the trigger on a vinyl cutter. I have fallen in love with using paint masks rather than decals. And after watching several online modelers use their cutters I decided it's time to step up. I will be making masks for just about every resonable thing I can and paint rather than decal whenever possible. I have a lot to learn and I will begin soon. I am going to upload all my decal sheets and use those as needed. Where I can use images of the real thing I will make and cut masks for those too. This will be nice for kits that have no aftermarket decals like my Valkyrie and for schemes that noone makes decals for. I figure it will pay for itself is about 15-20 kits. Super excited to get started with this process.

Greysnake: Love those! The Mark I is cool and as someone who built the Bronco Comet I envy you- I'm sure the Tamiya kit will be waaaaaayyyyyy easier to build. 

SP: Congrads on an awesome pre-Christmas haul! Love the Brad, I've loved every Meng kit I've built. 

Tojo: That F-35 is amazing! I'm curious how the decals work out, looking forward to seeing you build this!
