130ish kits.  Have not counted in a while and added a few recently.  Mostly 1/48 aircraft, some 1/72 aircraft.  Cars and armor sprinkled in.  Mmmm plastic...

Off the top of my head

150 +/- 25 1/35 armor.  WWII German tracks, SPs, towed and equipment. Mixed in are modern Russian wheeled and tracked rigs.

 25+/- 10 1/48 WWII German aircraft, 109s, 190s, couple allied planes.

10 1/32 British and American fighters, Tempest, Typhoons, P-40s...

    10 +/-5 1/32 WWII and modern.

     20 1/48 modern jets, F-16s, A-4s, F-14s, F-18s

   2 1/12 race cars.

6 or 7 1/350 ships, mix WWII, modern.

And a partrigde in a pear tree. Ok not really but writing this is kinda depressing.

My stash has jumped in number considerably lately, lol.  I'm still under 50, but just barely at 46.  All aircraft.  Mostly 1/48, then some 1/72, and a couple 1/144.

The "Niagara" stash.  These are all kits for what I call my "Planes of Niagara" build.  They are all planes that were stationed at the local air base over the years.  I have these stacked up in the closet cause they wouldn't fit in the corner anymore, lol.  There are 15 kits here.

The rest of the stash in the corner next to my bench.  I just had to go through and re-organize it some, cause they wouldn't fit.  I've been on a buying spree lately since I've had the extra cash to do so.  There are 31 kits here.

These are just the Hercules kits I have.  They are my favorite plane after all, so I can never have enough Hercs!  2 of them are 1/48, and I have no clue where I'm going to put them!

I have probably 2,500 kits, mostly 1/35 armor several dozen 1/48 aircraft, a few 1/350 carriers and BBs and some 1/700 ships of various types  I have my whole basement with shelves loaded with kits, built and inbuilt.  I have  several hundred built kits as well.  I have been modeling since 1959.  I used to build every thing.  I have been doing mostly Armor since 1969, then figure and aircraft and sci fi.  I love building and air brushing them.  Several years ago I photografted them, it was not as organized, now its all where I like it.  My ceilings in the basement are covered with prop planes.  There is barely a tank model I haven't built, well a few, model companies are getting lots better.  I belong to a IPMS club and members love to come over to Uncle Doug's toys and Hobbies for our mettings

I haven't been at this as long as many of you. My unbuilt stash is only 40 kits. Some of those are multiples like the T-28 kits I'm working on. There are four AMT P-40 kits. On a shelf there are four Monogram F-82 kits. I have a couple of 1/48 scale Monogram Huey helicopter kits along with two Monogram P-51B kits. I haven't paid retail for anything! I love model shows and vendors. The only so-called modern kit I have is a MENG F-35A kit I'm building in memory of my youngest brother Buzz. Whew, I'm running outa closet space!

OK. On the bench:

Old Monogram kits: T-28A (USAF), T-28C (Pensacola NAS), T-28D (VNAF)

MENG 1/48 F-35A dedicated to my late brother Buzz.

Sci-FI/Space various scales        38

Race Cars 1/24/25                    30

F1 Cars 1/20                             12

Road Cars   1/24/25                  40

Dream Cars    1/24/25               12

Armor 1/35/72                          29

Planes  scale smaller than 1/72  72

Planes 1/72 or larger                 61

Ships, almost all 1/700               63

Total stash                              357

Now that I'm retired my ambition is to build faster than I buy with the hope that by the time I cork off my built total will be greater than the stash total!

I have never counted to see how many kits I have, or even what I have.  All I know, I added five more kits to the pile this weekend so I guess that counts as an update.Big Smile

I got:

Monogram 1/48 SBD to practice some pre-shading and painting my own markings on.

Monogram 1/48 F86 to try my hand with bare metal foil.

Monogram 1/48 A7 Corsair because I never had one.

Revell 1/72 F4 Phantom because one could never have enough F4s.

Some SciFi kit I won of a swamp orge chasing down a scantly clothed school girl.  I may send that to my nephew, I don't think its age appropriate for meEmbarrassed

T.J.

I won't bore you with numbers . It's fifty percent ships of all scales and the rest is to be expected . Planes , Armor and Cars . Enough to fill a Semi . My son and I stacked everything and measured the area . Yup , it fills a semi trailer !

Many of them given to me and the rest  , My response to seeing something from the happier parts of my childhood .

You guys with a massive stash make me drool LOL. I'm working on it but it's tough to fool the wife, especially when I sure she has a photographic memory. If I get a new one and place it in the stash like it's been there for years, inevitability she will see iy and say "when did you get this one?" Aaa, hmm. Maybe I should sprinkle some dust on it next time.

I do have a question for all you guys with several ship kits. Why don't we ever get to see you build the up? Wink
