All that I can is, you guys are a hoot with these monstrouse collections. I have maybe 25 and most of those were purchased back in the 1980s. My next build may be something from that stash. Looking forward to it.

PS: I am not judging those that have lots of kits. I think it's cool and funny at that the same time.

In actuality it took less than 30 days. Tires in particular  in the kit are beautifully done. It’s my first Ebbro, and interestingly the engineering packaging, and instruction sheet seem identical to a Tamiya kit. Maybe they sub-contracted it from Tamiya?

I read somewhere that  the components in Japanese air brushes are all made by one company that has the precision manufacturing capacity and sells a few under their own brand name Richpen. We know that model company package kits made by other brands,  or made by tooling from other brands.

I found a mention of the kit on the tamiya magazine site, wonder what the deal is.

I'm not going to even try to post photos of mine, I'm afraid some psychologist will see this and diagnose me with a some sort of acute hoarding complex.

Lets just say:

Boatload- 1/48th aircraft, mostly US and Japanese WWII

Handful- 1/72nd large bombers and assorted other stuff

Few- 1/32nd aircraft I want to super detail whenever I work up the guts

Boatload- 1/35th armour, mostly WWII American

Boatload- 1/35th figures

Boatload- Various scales, starships, Trek, Babylon 5, FarScape, and assorted others.

Few- 1/24 & 1/25th autos

Few- 1/700 & 1/350 ships

My hoard started when the local Hobby USA shut down and I bought a pile of stuff on their going-out-of-business sale. Then it continued with, 'gee this is a great sale price, I'll probably never see it again this cheap so I'd better buy it now'.

That and deciding I want to build such-and-such an aircraft, tank, whatever and then finding it long out of production. Then you either go without, pay an inflated price on Ebay, or search shows for years to find one. So I got to the point of if I want it just buy it, and I don't have to worry about it going out of production anymore.

I have thankfully slowed the rate of growth a great deal. I don't buy stuff just because it's a great deal but only if it's something I really want to build. And I purged my collection of a bunch of stuff I just don't have much interest in anymore like Second World War German subjects. Still I'm buying kits way faster than I'm building them. Frankly I don't smoke, don't drink, don't use drugs, or have any other expensive vices or hobbies so I guess things could be much worse. I really do need to make a will though so everything doesn't end up in the landfill when I pop off.

Frelling awesome! Didn't know you were a fan, always thought it was a really underrated series.

I've got a couple of them, all resin garage kits. I don't know if any are available now.

Big Moya, about a foot and a half / 45cm long. A big hefty chunk of resin there.

1/6th Chiana- she's painted but I wasn't crazy about how she came out. I should go back and touch her up.

1/1 scale DRD. Still not decided if I want to paint it up as a standard DRD or as 1812.

There's a resin kit of Talyn in scale with Moya out there somewhere but I've been unable to get my hands on it.

Not going to count, but somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 total.  Several 1/48 A/C, spread out between modern and WWII, 4 - 1/32 Phantoms in 4 varients, 3 - 1/32 WWII A/C. 1/72 B-52G and KC-135.

Several 1/350 ships including Scharnhorst, Enterprise (CV-6), Laffey,Arizona, Graff Z., CVE-73, 1/700 Enterprise from both Tamiya and Academy, the 1/72 Revell Gato, 4 subs in 1/144.  Oh yeah, one sail...1/100 HMS Victory.

Half dozen or so Armor and soft skins in 1/35, couple of Semi cabs, and a few civvy vehicles.

As to MC's question on 1/350 ship builds, kind of afraid to get started on a long term build in the space I currently have.

Ya!  Frelling cool.   Took about 14 hours to print her.    have to add the line detail with plastruct strips and pieces.  Got a Rigel bust around here somewhere, can't find him at the moment.  Must be hiding as usual.

Yeah the show is funny as $#$#!

It's kinda like taking Star Trek, Star Wars, and Firefly and smooshing them all together and then adding a big dash of pure bat-guano crazy.

If you like the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' movies you'll probably like FarScape- it's kinda the same sort of action and humour.

I "duno" .... maybe we should ask RX7850...

He seem's to be well on the way to having a "Shop" .... that will NEVER have any customer's allowed in it........ ( they might want to buy something ...... NOOOOOOO!!!  )

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Oh yeah! Great looking stash Stick. I love your Sovremenny and Slava.

I want to get the Kirov class at some point.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Thanks MC. I still need to get a USN and RN WWII cruiser, as well as a RN WWII destroyer. If anyone ever comes out with some Falklands War RN 1/350 ships, I’ll more than likely grab those too.
