Sorry folks. I've been away from the bench for a while, because i'm working on a 1/1 scale issue.

Have fun.  If I ever had one of those I'd call it the Minnow.

I just don't know if I would have it used for short tours.

It's a natural idea.  I just don't go near the water, even though it's on three sides of me.

Say Dodgy, now there you go, somebody lied to me. I was told that you 'downunderites' were still using hollowed out logs to get around in .  .  .

Nice boat Cobber !!!

Nice boat, but you're going to wear a couple scrapers to the handle, and go through 3-4 brushes.  Looks like some work to do below the boot too.

That is one pain of a project for the summer heat.  Keep an ice chest with the favorite beverage close to hand.

Been around boats my entire life until just 7 years ago when I sold my Sea Ray.  I love working on and around boats.  I'd love to help you if you weren't a half a world away.

Thanks,

John

Thanks for the offers of help and the nice comments folks. If any of you ever get to Oz, you have somewhere to stay and a boat at your disposal.

30 feet of wooden boat. Two coats of paint plus undercoat. 3 colours. Mucho filling and sanding, antifoul, masking. Up and down ladders, replacing anodes, lots of hand sanding, all in 30 dgrees celsius. Think I'm gonna buy something in Tupperware! (Fiberglass). It's a big bugger when your doing it by yourself!

Ikar, it's a risk. Every time I go out, I have no idea where I'm going and sadly, I have more than a little Gilligan in me.

Armornut, I hope to be back in the water on Friday, Saturday your time.

Hutch, Thanks for the nice words, I wish you could help too.

Disastermaster, photoetch???? OMG, how much is that gonna cost??

HooYah. I'll have you know, we have made great progress in this country. Why the stagecoach is set to arrive twice a week now!!

Goldhammer, this breaks my heart mate, but it's an alcohol free site.

Bako, I expect you on the next plane. I have a paintbrush with your name on it!

PFJN2 Wow! I've had nice things said about the boat before, but nothing as cool as that!

Ok Keavdog, I'm expecting you, Hutch and Bako. Beers are on me!

Bako, I expect you on the next plane. I have a paintbrush with your name on it!

Reminds me of an excellent movie.

Dear Red.
If you’re reading this, you’ve gotten out. And if you’ve come this far, maybe you’re willing to come a little further. You remember the name of the town, don’t you? I could use a good man to help me get my project on wheels. I’ll keep an eye out for you and the chessboard ready. Remember, Red. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. I will be hoping that this letter finds you, and finds you well.

Your friend.
Andy.

So keep them beers cool for me. Wink
