blackwolfscd...

We are now calling the 'challenge to all modellers' the Community Build Project. There are a couple of other threads here regarding the CBP. The first is for the F-18 which we recently completed (well some of us completed it... others of us are still putting on the finishing touches). The second looks like it will be a Ferrari of some sort.

We've loosened up the 'rules' re: tools and generally just have fun building the kit and comparing the different things we are doing.

You're welcome to join and follow along in the 'CBP Ferrari' thread for more updates. Post your thoughts and opinions about how to move forward with the 'format' of the CBP because we're all pretty open and easy-going.

Oh yeah, "... we all agreed there's no leader, right? So just shut up and do as I say!" (from an old movie that I can't remember the name of - it had lots of dwarfs in it though...)

I just discovered this post now and there are WAY too many replies for me to go through and read all. I'd just like to know what has come of this idea? Is it a go, and what are all the particulars?

We have the Saturday Night Gang here in Buffalo which is a small group of pals from the local IPMS club. We've been doing what we call "The Common Kit" for as long as I can remember, so I'm naturally quite open to the idea of a net-wide "Common Kit". LOL i'd like to know more!
