RX I think you could open a hobby shop with that stash.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

LOL , sure looks that way doesn't it. I've been doing more buying than building but I am trying hard to change that.

Mike: Now that is a CRAZY good bargain on a great subject. Cool score! I can't get over how HL just practically gives this stuff away sometimes. To them it's just another airplane kit. If it were an auto kit they would have kept it on the shelves for years!!!!

Drifter: Really cool score on that Bf-110!!! Tricky kits to put together but well worth the amount of work!!! Yes

RX: Dude! That is one helluva stash you've got going !!!!!!!!

Thats a nice score Bish.

My stash got a little larger as well yesterday. It was the 9th anniversary meeting of our AMPS Chapter. And we had a nice raffle there sponsored by Brookhurst Hobbies. In the raffle there, I won a $9 gift card. So I went to the shop after the meeting and picked up this Miniart Panzer Crew set

Then I found this Zvezda figure set on clearance for $5!!! Sweet! I had been wanting it!

And then there was the topper of the meeting. Joe Bevans, the founding guy behind our chapter gave me this as a gift

Needless to say, I am humbled to be a part of that group and have friends there like him. Many thanks Joe.

M. Brindos

I found myself a new toy at HL. Last one on a shelf marked down from $44.99 to $17.19!

Right in my price range.  :)

I was aiming for a B-25, but this is even better. I have never had the opportunity to build a Promodeller kit. :D

Oh happy day! Lol

Mike you'll be happy to know that the kit has all of the parts to do the version with the 50mm bordakanon also.  I have two in the stash from Hobby Lobby

Nice collection you have there Stik. I do like Mini Art and Zvezda figures. Any idea what your going to do with the para's.

Thanks Bish. I agree about both companies figures. As far as the paras go, the guy getting control of his cute after landing I am thinking of doing as a solo vignette. The others I will likely combine with some matching Dragon Fallschirmjäger figures for something later on.

No kidding??! That's the version I'd like to build anyways!

I was impressed with the PE, but it seems mostly limited to the cockpit.

Seriously, I think I'm REALLY going to enjoy building this one.  Big Smile

Look at what I found. A 1/12 scale Tamiya Ferrari 312T.  The kit was never opened. The decal sheet has a date of 1991. There are a couple of problems: First, the instructions are in Japanese. Second, all the white decal stripes  have turned yellow. I cannot find replacement decals on the Internet. Maybe I can bleach them in the sun. Has anyone tried this with success?

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

See if this helps with the instructions.  If not, you can probably find them on the net.

JohnnyK, that kit is incredibly fun to build, nice find. If you are careful the steering wheel actually turns the fron wheels!

I make it a point to regularly drop into our local second hand store on the off chance that someone had dropped off a kit. I've scored a car kit here and there usually for around $10.00 per kit. But, today I stopped in and found this beaut. And for only $3.00. Bonus! I know ole Joe (Mustang) will appreciate this.

Find a window that gets several hours of sunlight and stand the decal sheet there. It may take a couple of weeks but the sun will bleach it purty good. it's worked for me several times.

Was killing time between a VA blood draw and another meeting last night in Salem.  Hit the LHS there, and walked by the Academy 1/72 PBY-5A "Black Cat" 3 times before she reached out and grabbed me and wouldn't let go til I got back to the Jeep........

I'll give that a try. I just hope that the decals are not dried out.

When you do this, make sure that you put it in a zip lock bag to protect it from humidity.
