Thats the problem with this thread. I keep seeing kits i then decide i want, and so any chance of reduceing how many i add to the stash goes out the window. Who's silly idea was it to start this thread.

Give into the Dark Side Anakin "Bish" Skywalker Big Smile

I was under the impression that we were supposed to INCREASE the stash...not deplete it.

Just purchase more Bish...purchase more! LOL

Ye, but there is a limit. Theycan't burn it with me and i am damned if i am leaving it for any one Big Smile

Wha....wait...we can't take them with us?!  Surprise

I would but you would see the smoke clear across the pond from that amount of plastic. As for you, i hope they can dig a hole big enough Wink

I just scored what I think is a good deal. answered an ad of Facebook. 11 models, many with aftermarket decals and/or detail sets/masking sets. and 9 Squadron signal books.

$120 for all. They were found in basement of house a young couple had just bought. figure $6 apiece was worth it. The old Hawk SNJ trainer is only one not worth the price but the others more than make up for it.

All those books and kits are a nice batch. Not a bad deal when it’s all averaged out.

My first new kit of the year, just picked up from the LHS on the way home from work. been waiting on this for a few months now, selling fast by all accounts. Good size box for a 72nd kit.

I won't even bother adding this to the stash as i am hopeing to build it later this year for the Commonwealth GB, as long as i can get a dck tractor for it.

Been waiting for this one.  Ordered last week from the big "H".  On its way across the pond.  Can't wait for it to arrive.

Looks nice, hope you don't mind a few stencils though. The guy at the LHS told me their first batch went real quick and they couldn't get hold of Hornby but managed to get a dozen from Hannants.

Bish and MC, those are some great acquisitions! I’m really liking the Nell and the Phantom!

Last night at IPMS I picked up this one from a guy who was thinning out his stash...

it will be challenging fun I believe...

It does look sharp. And should make a good adversary to the Gladiator and Fury that are in my stash.

My Oh My! Everyone has been rather busy accumulating some really outstanding kits since my last visit. Really impressive scores folks.

Yup, another stint of La de da de daing about with other distractions and next thing I know a few months have passed and, as such, I be to catching up on here with what I've been acquiring. I've managed to snag some pretty cool stuff across a wide spectrum of subjects and scales. I got all of these through either FB auctions or ebay and got nice deals on each one. Let's have a look shall we.

First, new aircraft kits:

1/72

And a couple of 1/48:

Now for some new 1/700 ships:

And last but, not least, what has been a really rewarding endeavor. I've completed my armor stash bucket list. Although I don't build much armor, I've always had a short list of one's I'd like to build. This summer I'd scored a couple of nice deals on some and that sort of set me on quest to see if I could fill the entire list via FB auctions and ebay with out breaking the bank. I've succeeded. I took this photo a couple of weeks ago of my entire collection. So, everything in the photo is new except the PUMA, Nashorn & Elefant.

I just got this afterwards:

I also have an AFV Club M-10 on the way. I'm going to compare it with the Academy to decide which one I'll build. Possibly both.

It's certainly been fun and rewarding.

Nice job Joe, I'm envious.Wink The size diffrence between the POW and Hood is intresting. The Hood being a WW1 battlecruiser and the POW being a WW2 Washington Treaty Battleship. Huh? I don't believe I've ever seen the two together.

I spent around $ 100 for 6 board feet of Basswood and 6 board feet of red cherry and 3 board feet of red oak.

I spent $ 50 for two 4" blades for my mini table saw. One 42 teeth and on 120 teeth.

A couple of zero clearance saw table inserts.

It all goes into my new little shop, and I am building model fishing and sail boats now.

Just got in an ordr from Hannants which included 3 new additions to the stash. I was planning ordering this next month, but Hannants bought the last of the Attack Squadron resin parts includeing the 72nd Merlin engines for the Tamiya Mosquito and the F4Models 1970's RN deck tractor which i wanted to go with the Phantom. So, thanks to paypals buy now pay in 2 weeks, i got the order in early, and glad i did as the Merlins have now gone.

Amongst the selection of PE and resin were these 3. First, a new addition to my modern British armour collection, Trumpeters Challenger 2.

And 2 1/72nd Bf 109's. I have been wanting to gte a pre war model for a while and when AMG launched its range i decided to go for those and started with the B-1. Comes with PE resin and masks so no need for any AM.

And i got this AZ Models F-4/Z because it has the markings for the aircraft rooster did recently with white wash on one side of the fuselage and camo on the other.

Those are some really nice additions Bish. Glad to hear you latched on to the engines and tractor in a timely manner. By the way, I really like the Airfix F-4 Phantom you got. I'm thinking I might like one of those also. I can tell you that one of my next acquisitions is going to be Airfix's new 1/48 Hawker Sea Fury as soon as it comes out. I'm almost willing to put it on the pre-order list at Hannant's but, the shipping may prove prohibitive.Wink

Thanks Joe. The Phantom looks really nice and i am looking forward to the FGR.2 and Victor tanker they have coming out next year.

I wasgoing to put the Phantom on pre order, but by the time i had paid postage it would have cancelled put the 10% dicount so just waited the extra couple of weeks and got it at the LHS. How much longer after they come out over here do you guys have to wait for Airfix kits.

And wouldn't you know it, the new ICM 251 Ausf A was finally released yesterday, so that will be another addition.

I've been busy.  I got the Meng Panther A, the new Tamiya Archer, a few older kits of the Tamiya Elephant ,with their zimmerit.  I used to do my own zimm, I'm getting lazy in my old age.  Also got the Meng FT-17 and the Hobby Boss Panther with 37 flat gun conversion .   What a way to start the new year.  Well I just finished 4 kits so this my reward.

I actually have no idea to be honest Bish. I'm going to see if I'm able to hold out until it's released over here. Of course, I've been known to abandon my backbone and cave in. Lol!
