Revell BF 109 E
Posted by rmontesb on Saturday, January 13, 2018 1:56 PM

Hello and happy 2018!

I recently pruchased on eBay an old Revell 1/72 BF109E (see below); ufortunately, the instructions came in a foreign language (I think it´s Japanese or Korean) either of which I cannot readBoo Hoo. I´ve written to Revell requesting a English version, and they are still searching in thier database.

Does anybody out there has the English instructions for this same model?

As always, any help will be highly apprecaited.

Kind regards,

Boxart Messerschmitt Me109 H612-49 Revell

Excelente! Many thanks Retired in California. Now, all I need to do is determine the paint scheme for this particular model. Again, any help on that will be highly appreciated. Kind regards,

WOW!  I remember that kit way back in the 1960s.  Tons of publications about the Me109 E versions.

Did the kit come with decals? If so, and if they are still usable, you may be stuck with the kit's paint scheme. If not or if you decide to use aftermarket decals, then the sky's the limit based on the markings you end up using.

Going off the box art, RLM 02 and 71 on top and 65 underneath and along the sides and tail. But as Rob says, depends on the markings.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Boy does that box art brings back memories when it first came out. I have built that one along with the Spit.

Can’t be too hard. My. F-I-L and another guy put one together from wrecks on an airfield in Tunisia. Even flew it.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Rob,

Yes, the kit came with decals. A little yellowish, but complete.

I´ve read somewhere else that the box art + decals make referece to a "fictional" airplane.

Nevertheless, I´ll give it a try as a OOB project.

Regards,
