Daily Fail... From the 'poke-a-stick-at-a-group-who-are-not-like-us' school of journalism.

Utter Tripe & their 'Science' reporting is so bad our comedians make ribald comedy songs about it...

Whatever. The Daily Mail is hardly worth worrying much about, a real stretch to take it seriously. Along the lines of the National Enquirer.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Airfix has done a few of these building kits over the years. Some intact, some not. If it was a WWII European farm house or church would they get so upset? It’s all just part of the history of war.

I believe this one is a re-release. last year one of the guys at the club brough in a 48th Airfix warrior with damaged Afghan building. So why this is an issue now i have no idea. Must have been a slow day at the office.

Perhaps they are sickened by models of Challenger Tanks or Tornado bombers that might have caused the damage,or the myriad of German,Russian,French,Italian destroyed buildings available.

If you look at the comments underneath, you can see quite a few model builders pointing our other ruined building sets both by Airfix and others.

And i would like to meet all these Afghan vets who are sickened by this. They don't sound like any of the squaddies i know.

Notice this 'British veterans of the Afghanistan campaign have described the model – which includes a pile of debris left by a bomb blast – as ‘sick’ and MPs too have expressed disbelief over the product.'

Yet they quote just one MP and one UK soldier. The former a labour MP and the latter probably an army cadet.

No one takes the daily hate very seriosuly, if they do then no one takes them seriously anyway.

They just don't understand anything.    "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it"    The media in general makes me sick,  they've all gone nuts!

Amen to that brother! They do understand completely and are playing the politically correct BS game. Just look to what hapenned with the Dukes of Hazzard car's flag. What about all the ruined buildings done by Mini Art? Will those be next?

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!

Because this is the UK old boy, we have to be offended over somthing or our day is not complete.

Though i will say that £32.99 for a plastic house is a bit much. I hope it comes with running water.
