Just wondering if anyone here went thru Dragon Care to get repalacement parts and how long they took to respond to your request. I sent them an email alomost a week ago and haven't heard a peep regarding replacement DS T48 tracks for my Firefly 1c.  I opend up the factory sealed box and the tracks are cracked and are not pliable.

Read several posts saying the DS tracks tend to dry out and crack while still in the box and recommend non solvent type paint for them.

Hobbyists call it ‘Dragon Doesn’t Care’ for a reason. They are barely in the plastic model business any more, mostly just rereleasing or rehashing theit prior kits. Maybe you will be more fortunate than most.

Im beginning to believe it. Six days have gone by and nothing. I reached out to Dragon USA and they responded within  a couple of ours. Unfortunately they referred me to where I haven’t heard squat from For replacement parts.

Early DS tracks were notorious for crumbling. And there are a lot of those kits out there still. You may have to consider aftermarket plastic or metal T48s if you ever build the kit.

Yes I was considering that but this was an unopened kit that wasn't cheap and this crap happens. I don't remember where I bought it and it's been a couple of years so i can't claim it from a vendor.

I was looking at the Fruils but they are expensive. Club makes some rubber band ones and wonder if they will fit on the Dragon model.

AFV Club makes a plastic set, but they are individual hard plastic links, at least the ones I saw. I’ve never used them. Might want to ask around in the armor forum or armor websites if you decide to build and Dragon doesn’t come through.

I made contact with them for some instructions on a kit. They responded after a few weeks saying they can't help me in very broken english. It was not the friendliest email from a company I have recieved. I won't bother reaching out to them again for anything.

Once upon a time Dragoncare was top notch. I had an issue with the M4A1 Sherman tank in 1/72 scale that they released that was missing a turret part. A scan of the missing part off of the sprue and proof of purchase was all it took to get a replacement part.

But this was back in 2006; I opened a ticket on September 6th and had the missing part on hand on the 28th.

As of recent, well at least the last decade, they have been next to useless.
