Oh wow John, congrats. I'll have to sit down and look for it rather than the page flipping I usually do when I first get it.

That was a good article.  You are a master of foiling.  I am too clumsy in applying large pieces of the foil and usually unable to get all the wrinkles out.

Thanks for the congrats. Applying foil is not that difficult. It just requires a steady hand and lots and lots of patience. It is a slow process. I put on some music and I have a drink (brown booze) close at hand.

I read that.  I just don't have the bravado to try yet!  I really liked the idea of steel wool for texture.

Congrats Johnny. I havn't seen the article yet, but I'm looking forward to it. The trouble is I have very shaky hands, so probably won't be trying foil, but well done anyway.

Congradulations!!! That's a beautiful B-24!!! I'm frankly more an Alclad guy myself, I just don't have the patience to apply all that foil. But your results are spectacular, I love how the rivets came out!!! Heart

And I think I saw a cool vintage car by Don Stauffler in the showcase section too? Pardon me, don't have the issue with me right now.

This is a closeup photo of the rivets.

Note the "grain" on the panels located under the anti-glare paint. I found that it was very difficult to apply rivets and texture (grain) to an Alclad finish. That's why I switched over to foil. It's really not that difficult to do.
