1/32 Lancaster

I guess it looks like Border Models aquired the molds for WNW Lancaster. Preorders start in Dec.  It looks amazing, and I will enjoy following the builds.

Yea, I saw this posted yesterday.  Should be pretty impressive in 1/32 scale.

Once I know what price I can get from UK sellers then I will place an order. It can sit in the stash for a while so I can see what AM stuff appears (metal barrels a must!)

Guys, start throwing change into a jar because it will lesten the impact. Christmas before Pre-orders. Time also to work on SWMBO. These kits are only a challenge paint wise (and size) but are once in a lifetime opportunities.

I would like to ask if someone knows someone who can make individual cases for these beasts that you can stack on top of each other. Over time they make a real individual display that WOW's visitors and guests!

Affordable perspex case. size 1x1 metre which will enable more stuff to be added at your descresion.

As much fun as would undoubtedly be to build...I've given up on projects that need their own room when completed. Big Smile

In a discussion last night at the model club i heard it was going to be in the region of 600Euro's, so get saving. Apparently the detail blows the HK kit out of the sky.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Lucky model Pre-order.

Bear in mind that you will have to pay import/taxes as well as shipping.

https://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=BRDBF010

My advice is to wait until actual local street price is known before comitting. I think to make this sellable the price on the street will probably be closer to HK's pricing. With kits like this with "detail" which is mostly not seen unless it comes with a clear fuselage option which has not been announced then if it is around £500 then despite the detail and surface textures it becomes less attractive as those price concious amongst us will figure that it is just too expensive. There are those who will just throw money as they have probably more disposable income or they just want this and don't care what it costs.

As it is marketed as a "limited edition" due to "mould costs and maintainance" means that there will be a price hike anyway.

It makes me wonder what "mould costs and maintainance" means anyway. Anyone know?

Once street pricing becomes apparant I will make a decision who to purchase from (best discount). Until then, money goes in a jar labelled "Outrageous Lancaster Money Fund!" (OLMF)
