Ah! That's Fle Market!
I did Yesterday. Needed some material to make domes for an " N " scale L.N.G.Tanker for a Module. Do any of you Remember the old Lindberg Moon Ship? It's part of a group of imagined vessels that different designers and toy companies came up with during our " Race to the Moon". Of course the model companies jumped on oard with like say, Monogram's "Willy Ley" designed models,Then revell, with a multi piece Spaceship with a distinctly "Russian" Vibe.
Then of course those others by various companies and studio models/Kits from lesser known outlets! "The Moonship" Now is unusual in that in all it's iterations it still is fascinating in the way it was molded and the parts joints. This model was originally in Metallic silver than after about the first year went to white along with the Models of Disney's Moonliner and The Round Wheel type "Space Station".
It ia also a hotbed of parts for scratch -built vessels for the space oriented thinkers out there. The funniest part is,With all the useable parts there's three I probably won't use from these "Round Two" Re-Releases. That's the Spacemen( Astronauts?) They resemble small versions of the Robot in the film starring Micheal Rennie called The Day the Earth Stood Still". All in all A good walk down Memory Lane for parts. After all, they are re-releases of Re-releases so who really Minds?
