Heller 1/100 HMS Victory

I will begin the adventure and journey of building the Heller 1/100 HMS Victory. I know for me personally it's going to be a challenge. A real challenge. As time has gone by I have really become very enamored with this kit and the ship itself. I've done a lot of reading on it and just purchased about a month back the new updated instruction manual for this kit that Heller put out last year. It's nice and will go along well with the original instructions that were produced with the original release in 1979. When I'm not working on that I will be attempting to continue my build of Revell's 1/96 USS Constitution. These 2 model ships are going to be my sole focus.

Compared to many of you who are busy with a lot of kits at once and have built far more than I ever will I have decided that these 2 ships are the ones I really want to build and focus on. Any advice you can share on these please share. I'm willing to learn from all.

When I am working on  major product like a three master, I share the bench with a much simpler kit that I can finish rapidly.  I think trying to work on two complex  kits would for me burn me out.

Absolutely. Otherwise it's a ball and chain and you'll probably quit modeling.

Bill

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
