Hello
It's been a long while since I last posted on here under the username 'TUG'
Though I've managed to do a bit I've had a lot of distractions from plastic modelling since then but a recent resurgence of interest has seen some better involvement/progress.
Here are some images of a Hasegawa FW-190D which is the last aircraft completed.
I was motivated by a coloured image in a loaned book of 'Blue 12' where the aircraft had been flown to surrender to US forces. I chose to depict it just before the start of that flight with the pilot staring into space potentially deliberating his fate to come.
Hope you like it
It's basically out of the box with a few scratch built additions mainly on the engine - most of which were hidden after assembly of the wheelbay!
It's painted with AK Real Colour laquer acrylic and all markings save the fuelling indicators etc are masked and sprayed.
I had bought a set of HK Wet Transfer stencils but the legend for the wing walk area limit left a nasty stain so I decided not to press on further. I now have a set of the 'One Man Army' stencilling masks so I intend to revisit it some time to finally complete it
Hope that's all of interest
Best - Tug
