Hi Steve,

Your year was like mine, nothing for model building.  Too busy with house projects and taking care of aging family matters.  Maybe 2023 will be more productive, but I'm not banking on it.

Hey modelcrazy, don't sweat it too much. There's always next year. (Or is it this year?) Whatever, you know what I mean.

Thank you Lurch,

No 1:1 pics just yet. I installed electrical in the new bedroom/hobby room but still no wallboard, flooring, trim etc. It's slowly coming along though and I'll be sure to post when the room, kitchen, living room are done. I will still have a guest bath, second bedroom and master to complete but I can get to those when I have the funds.

I know what you mean. I am about 2 years behind schedule to.. With cancer surgery and family stuff going on. Also a new grand daughter . That makes 5 grandkids now. My plans are to have something on the bench by next fall. Happy new year to you all and hopefully a productive one as well.

Now see, i was fully expecting a 1:1 scale pic of your house projects Cool

i had a similar obser as BK. I know my job has gotten super busy post pandemic given we are still having trouble hiring people. Even did a bunch f Saturday work this year to try and keep up which took away tons of my build time. What ended up helping me out was i started driving to our other plant when i traveled. That way i took my model with me and have been building in the hotel room lol

In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!

Thank you guys, this last few days of not working on the house really got my juices flowing to start building. My makeshift hobby room needs some organizing but other than that, I'm ready.

Thanks PJ, I plan to.

The busyness my still be due to the pandemic, or lack of it. Most are enjoying getting out still. I think it will pick back up next year.

I find it funny that many, and I mean MANY of us had very lackluster building this year. Many of us just didn't come even close to our goals. I noticed it in my GB's. I thought maybe there was just a lack of interest but it appears everyone just had too much going on and the kits suffered for it. Best of luck next year to us all.

BK

l

You nailed it BK. Lots of other stuff complicating things and demanding time stolen from bench time.

somehow I think Steve will make it up in 2023.Wink

Gamera
After all you've went though I'm just happy you're still here with us Steve!

Big plus one to that.

And I match your zero this year, Steve. Plenty of building, nothing completed.
