Maybe I Had A Better Year Than I Thought . . .
Posted by fotofrank on Monday, January 2, 2023 11:25 AM

Following all of these Year in Review posts, I figured I didn't really have a very productive year. At least it didn't feel like I was very productive. Some projects are taking a really long time to complete. I went back and reviewed what I've done in 2022 and here are the builds I've accomplished in no particular order.

Accurate Miniatures 1/48 F-6A Mustang:

 .

MPC Star Wars A-Wing:

 .

Testors / Italeri 1/72 V-22 Osprey:

 .

AMT / MPC Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper:

 .

Airfix or Tamiya 1/48 F-51D Mustang:

 .

Academy 1/48 P-47D Thunderbolt:

 .

I think that's it for 2022. I have several builds on the bench I'm trying to get finished so I can have a "clean" bench to begin builds for 2023. I want to build some Sci-Fi stuff this year, most importantly the AMT 1/72 Razor Crest. Thanks for watching.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...

fotofrank, you have some great builds here, but I really like the Mustang and Jug. I think the Jug looks great with checks on that big cowling.

Cheers!

Great stuff.  I'd call that a very good year.

Thanks,

Eugene, those stripes were worn by 1st Air Commandos aircraft in China. The stripes are painted. I try to paint as much as I can on my builds. You can see how the national insignia decals silvered on the edges. I didn't paint those.

I love those AM Mustangs. I first built one in 1995 in Texas. Hard to believe they are that old! The one I did was the A-something Apache.

Six great looking builds in 12 months... one completion every other month. Not too shabby at all with that level of finish.
