WHEN USING ANY RESIN PRODUCTS (i.e sanding sawing and mixing)
WEAR A DUST MASK, SURGICAL GLOVES AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WELL VENTILATED WORK AREA.
The particles released from resin are extremelly harmfull, and when inhaled can cause long term damage to youre lungs.
I have lost my father to work related death caused by unsafe working conditions(they were the first guys in the biz), and he was at the forefront of resin casting technology.
The current safety standards for mixing the products require full respratory head wear with air line, as well as paper disposable suits (this is for industrial grade)
When the 2 active compounds used in resin casting are mixed, they reaease agents into the air ,that cause a natural fungus that we breath everywhere, to react And in some cases Aspergillis develops in the lungs (leading to flooding by mucus), and in most cases neurosis.
You may think this sounds silly and not relevent to hobbyists but it is proven and long term exposure even in small amouts puts you at risk.
And its not a nice way to go! (ive seen it)
So lets add this to our list of safe modelling steps (paint & glue fume inhalation, thinners/solvents on exposed/cut skin).
SAFETY FIRST!!!, and enjoy the hobby now AND when were older.
