Excel would be an excellent choice.

Look for Microsoft Access. I use it at work to keep track of medical equipment and have found it to be very easy to use and upgrade. Excel might also work for you as well.

I have a large collection of mags. including Sea Classics, Air Classics, Air Power, Wings, etc. going back to the '60s that are an invaluable resource. Unfortuanetly I have NO organization.
I also have an old server which could be an invaluable resource organizer.
Unfortunately I have no idea how to make a workable database other than using an HTML format.
Does anyone know of a good tutorial program for databases. Preferably free?
