Thanks for the kind words. I talked to my youngest, who just got back, last night. It seems he is now interested in a model. She moved in next door while he was gone. Single, 26, five foot seven, blue eyes, red hair and models for a clothing magazine. That sure beats the one I am now building.

they get better each year. The only thing more rewarding than building models is raising children.

Now, if I can just ask Mrs. Jeeves to speak with my wife for a few minutes. . .

Jeeves, that was a great story as are all the others. Father's Day truely is a special day that we can all appreciate. It kind of makes you feel fuzzy all over. To Berny13: You must be relieved as well as incredibly proud of your boys. I think all of us on this forum owe them a special thanks for what they did for America and Iraq.

I got my Fathers Day gift early this year. My two sons got back from Iraq. One three weeks ago and one last week. I couldn't ask for any thing more.

Yes fatherhood is the best in the world! I have four of my own and my two oldest boys (7 & 5) really get into modeling!
By the way your missus there is somthing special! Youre very lucky, mine would just as soon dump them in the trash (sometimes)!

You most definitely have a special lady. For her to go through all that trouble and give you such a wonderful surprise, that's awesome. The fact that she supports your interests and hobby like that is wonderful.

Kids -- there's nothing better. Watching them grow up, learn about things, play together and everything else is great.

I have three of my own - one girl age 7, two boys ages 3 and 5. This morning I woke up and the kids (with mom's help) had made breakfast. My daughter had put together a Father's Day cheer and they all had presents they had picked out from the Dollar Store. What's great about the Dollar Store gifts is that they love shopping there -- they spend literally an hour or more sometimes looking for gifts. They put a lot of thought into picking things out. It's amazing what those kids come up with. Then there is the look of pride when they hand out their presents. A true example of "it's not the gift, it's the thought that counts!". That is what it's all about!

Jeeves, what a great gift and what a special lady you have. My three kids got me some modelling supplies that I needed-now I know why they were skulking around the workbench the past week or so! Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there. - Ed

Happy first daddy day to you too. I miss those newborn days (really I do). I have 10 yo son and a 3 yo daughter. My son is with his mom and the daughter is clumping around the house in my work boots. Kids are certainly a special joy.

Jeeves, congrats on your first Fathers day! Now as a single dad, I cherish the days I get with my 6 year old. I'm introducing him to modeling and he likes it! You are getting great support from the Mrs. Say, does your wife have a sister!

Good for you, Jeeves. I'll be getting a few kits, without any doubt, that will one day fill my lovely display case..!

Hi Jeeves , You lucky devil the only thing my missus would get to use on my kits is a very large hammer. Even though she has infact built a couple of kits herself (a P51 and a Kamov ka25 )and did a very good job of them too...Greg
