Actually, I thought about this right after posting. If I tried the "lozenge" scheme, I'd probably use the most obnoxious one I could find ( like the ones that included bright oranges and purples ) and apply it to yet another 'Fury.

When will you see it? Good question. I already have plans for all the 'Fury kits that I currently have, so the biggest factor will be when I can get a few more kits. From there, one of my current "workbench queens" qould probably end up with the Richtoven scheme instead of what I had previously planned.

There's an idea I can sink my imagination into!

I'm going with the others on this, the grey would ad some intresting contrast to the red areas.

When I think about the show, which I haven't seen since it concluded, I recall all the colours that were used on the station. Besides the grey, there was various shades of blue and purple and all I can think is why wasn't the red baron better known for flying aircraft with lozenge patterns....

Can you imagine the Star Fury with the red upper surfaces and the rest in a grey, blue and purple lozenge scheme?

I have to agree with the rest. Overall grey with red upper surfaces (which way is up in space?) would have much more impact.

I agree with J-Hulk & Keyworth. Red, white, black & gray will make the red & white stand out, drawing attention to the entire ship. The overall red would make the markings stand out. This, too, is just my opinion.
I'll be looking for it when you post the pic ! Good Luck !

I also think the latter paint scheme would have more visual appeal. When do we get to see it?Big Smile [:D]

Hi, Kugai!
I like the latter, just because I think the extra colors (gray in this case) would make it visually more interesting overall.
Just my opinion!

Some of you might think this belongs under "Sci-Fi", but I'd also like to have input from others, including those who primarily do historical airplane kits.

In the "Non-Traditional" thread, I mentioned that I have an idea for a "Richtoven" ( Red Baron ) Starfury from the "Babylon 5" TV show. While thinking about this later, I realized that there are two good possible shemes, and couldn't decide which would look better. One is red all over, with the white bands and black crosses on all the wings. The other, more in line with the precedent set in the show, would only have the red and the markings on the upper surface of the top wing, with the rest of the fighter in the usual gray.

Just asking for opinions, here. Which do you think would look better?
