Erock Bring it on. Y'all would like this area, close to Atlanta but out away from the worst of the congestion. Of course that's changing with the sub-divisions moving out here now. It used to really be in the sticks as we say 'round heyah. Big Smile [:D] I'll take everyone to AAA Hobby and let y'all buy the place out!! Man, I love a good Ferengi quote!Smile [:)]

Yeah, I could pretty much get anywhere in a day.
Actually, from my humble abode here in Osaka to my folk's digs down in Brunswick, Georgia, it takes right at 24 hours, door to door. About 16 hours actually in the plane, and the other 8 drivin' and waitin'.

I wonder how long it'd take to get to Belgium...Wink [;)]

Keyworth, any chance of having any beer? Actually Georgia would be closer to my home. We need someone to ram rod this get together. Are there any takers out there?

Wow, this sounds awfully reminiscent of the FSM Forum IPMS get together that was being discussed a while back. Any headway on that DJ?

Georgia could work, its a different country anyway.......

Eww, you touched Shermie's butt? No more group hugs for you.

I have to admit, I look forward to the forum more than the local meetings. I learn more here and talk to more of you guys than them. The best part of all of it is the "global community" here. And the broad spectrum of interests, styles and techniques that we discuss. Who would have thought that such a market niche would have such a broad demographic? Like Shermanfreak said, I've made some wonderful aquaintences here and to that I would add my only real regret is not being able to sit face to face and experience the individuals you guys are. You guys are some of the most gregarious people I've met in a weird sort of electronic way.

Renarts, no-one from the IPMS USA ever got back to me... I'm up for anything anyway, so if anybody can suggest a place where we can maybe visit a couple of museums, a show, a number of pubs and above all, a WalMart, count me in! Second anniversary of the Forum is good for me. That time of the year, the fares are WAY cheaper than in the summer time. Who needs the IPMS anyway??!?!?

It's kind of centerally located.

For most of us on the west side of the pond, somewhere in the midwest would probably be best, just to make it easier for driving, flying, walking, crawling after all of the beer, whatever. Ohio actually sounds pretty good, Tim.

Think about the weather that time of the year. We would want to pick someplace where it is warm. That is why I suggested Lost Wages---Las Vegas. The weather is ideal and there are lots of attractions around Vegas, plus you get free drinks while playing the slots.

What about someplace in Texas? It's still pretty central, and not quite as cold. Lots of Convention Centers, as well, without all of the temptations to lose my money on other things besides models.

Whatever you decide, don't put it in Virginia over the next couple days!! We're fixing to get hammered!! Would appreciate any prayers you folks may want to send Heavenward on our behalf. By the way, I appreciate and enjoy the forum. I also think a "get-together would be in order. Is there a model show and some form of competition to be had?

Texas would be just about ideal for me. I can make it just about anywhere there within a reasonable drive. It does happen to be pretty centrally located as well. I also have family there :) Dallas is a neat town and a great deal of fun. I wonder what kind of hobby shops they have there.

Texas is borderline for me. It all depends on when we do this. I'd be driving. North Texas would be best (read Dallas area).

Hey what about the St Louis area? That's about as central as you can get.

Ohio and the USAF Museum would be cool (I have family there and I'd love to see my beloved Valkyrie again), but in winter, it could be bleak! Mid-West sounds good. Would love to see one of those Desert Boneyard things! Or Texas. Never been there either, so why not?!

OK with me on Dallas, Texas. Is there anyone there that can start the ball rolling? How about the second aniversary of the web site as the month and year? That will give us all time to make plans for the trip. Do you think we can get FSM to sponser the trip? Lots of questions and very few answers.

Lets vote, all in favor of Dallas, call out.

All in favor of the second aniversary of the web site, call out.
