Warren Arakaki
Pearl City, Hawaii

Warren was able to model a Blue Angels “mirror pass” with the crafty use of a clear acrylic stand — even with Hasegawa F/A-18 egg planes. “The stand was thermoformed with a Micro Torch,” Warren says. “Egg planes have mounts built into them, allowing them to slide onto the clear mounts. He used Floquil, Testors, Alclad II, and Tamiya paints, “with five or six hand-brushed coats of Future,” he says.
