Doug built a Revell 1/570 scale U.S.S. North Carolina and modified it to represent the ship in 1942. He used Gold Medal and Tom's Model Works parts to replace the railings, radar, and catapults. Parts from Model Monkey fixed up the smokestacks, main guns, and turrets, and the .50-caliber pedestal-mount machine guns came from 3D Model Parts. True Color, Tamiya, and Testors paint finish the model.
