I suppose I've been on a Bell Helo binge. I recently completed a "civilian-build" of the Italeri OH-13S 1/48th scale kit.
I decided not to build it as an olive drab Korean war bird while studying available online reference photos showing many different private owned restorations. I chose Insignia Blue and Light Gray Acryl paints for the model, added an antenna and rigged control cables inside the boom. The large bubble begs for some detailing, so following some photo hints I added instrument and battery cables to the cockpit. The decals, like my post on the Bell 222, are a hodgepodge from the spares. Some may recognize the three stripes below the door openings as part on the Langley Stripes for a VF-143 Pukin' Dog Tomcat. The registration numbers were pieced together from a Yellow Wings decal sheet of a pre-war Navy SNJ trainer. While many of the current restorations have different engine configurations than a stock 47, I left the engine OOB. I couldn't get enough good engine views to try engine mods with any confidence I was getting it right. It was a simple, pleasant build.

Ask me about Speedway Decals
Thanks.
I guess most folks like the OD 47s best.
I don't care what color they are, I like the 47's. Great job!

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

That is wickedly, wicked! Nice job!
I said it before, and I'll say it again, "I have to build me a helicopter".
