Just back from ScaleModelWorld at Telford in the UK. On display at AIRFIX's stand : test shots of Army and Navy versions of the Lynx in 1/48th , and something I hadn't expected, test shots assembled of a Merlin HC3 in 1/48th . A very large beast with I'm told something like 302 parts . Very impressive. Lynx's should be out in 2012 , I forgot to note which quarter, and I believe similar for the Merlin. There was a rumour(unsubstantiated) that REVELL Germany would be issuing a retooled version of their venerable and mixed up version of the Wessex in 1/48 .If true ,lets hope they get it right this time . All in all ,certainly for British Helo modellers , 2012 is looking up.
