Paul,
I lost my entire e-mail due to a wonderful upgrade.
Send me your address again and I'll get you those photos
At least it I didn't get charged for the upgrade.

That's it!!
The company is run by an old coastie. They have had one of those baskets in salt water for about 20 years now and still no corrosion.
Thanks rotor!

Sal,
You guys use the Billy Pugh, an old design that is making a comeback. The USCG used it a while back then switched to a rigid frame filled with, get this, Linseed oil!!
Then getting a bit smarter we switched to hydralic fluid. (To easier detect cracks).
The Dolphin came along and low and behold the basket would not fit !! So the CG got the newest stainless steel with a folding bail, great on those cold days when the bail falls on your hand. . .

Here's a pic of one of my sqaudrons Pavehawks doing water work off of Homer Alaska using a basket. I'm not sure if it's the same bascket the USCG uses though. I know our hoists are different.

I just rec'd my Cobra Co Conversion set to convert the Italeri 1/48th SH-60B into the Coast Guard's HH-60J. Great quality as you would expect but the instructions are a little on the light side. I want to build a lift basket (doesn't look like a Stokes litter) for the interior but I need some size info and pics. Any info or links would be most appreciated!
