HA! I was gonna tell you you must have a bad kit...built that kit last year and had no trouble like that. Remember, it`s only a mistake if someone else finds it first..lol.

well that was a rookie dumbass (or as we say in france DUMAAS). put the engine body halves together backwards. pried everything apart with a scalpel, scraped and sanded and the body is back together and filled. most of the seams are covered anyway and it sits inside a lattice frams so it will be fine.

ITALERI 1/48 OH-13 BUILD QUESTION
Posted by waynec on Sunday, August 5, 2012 6:37 PM
i just started this for a COARNG project; my second helo after IDF 500MD TOW. i am putting the engine together and there is a problem. it seems the tab for the main body (6A and 7A) is a half circle but the hole for the piece that fits there (4A and 5A) is rectangular. from the instructions it look like i can slice the tab off (thick as it is) and get the correct fit. it looks like it should fit flush with the bottom of the main body. thanx. for someone who doesn't do helos or a/c, i am (or should be) committed for a 1/48 AH-1F and possibly an OH-6A too.
