I took OLD Revell mold from fifties and converted it to HRS-1. I had to change engine air inlets, tail, wheels, cockpit, and bay. I sanded most of huge rivets off. I added the Swanny Models resin parts. I used main wheels from 1/48 H-21. I modified the front wheels. I used metal screening, even under engine. All clear parts are clear styrene except main glass and pilot's sliding glass. This had a TERRIBLE fit, but fared it in the best I could. I also raided the H-21 kit for bay seats. I used brass tubing for exhaust.
Great looking job.
Thank you, sir
Great job on that kit! I heard that kit is a real bear.
You certainly are a craftsman!
Plan on doing the 1/48 Gallery models UH-34D kit that will come out in November. Just in time for my birthday!
On the workbench:
Trumpeter 148 MiG -21F
Thank you, Mike, have fun on the UH-34! I love any kind of Sabre. First airplane my Dad worked on was F-86D. He was stationed at Naha AFB with 25th FIS. He loaded Mighty Mouse rockets into weapons bay.
Great looking whirly bird!!! Keep up the good work!
Thank you sir, I appreciate it.
Very nice!
John

I have this kit but with the floats and would like to convert it to a land version. Would you have any idea where I can find replacement wheels and either USMC or Army decals for this old kit?
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
As noted, I used the 1/48 H-21 main wheels and just converted the two front ones. You have everything you need now except main wheels. Also, I used many spare decals for my model
I do a set of replacement resin wheels for the H-19.
Ty for the info
