Hey Polo,

Great first time build!  Looks good from here.  When you get your paints, throw a little black on the tires and that alone will make a world of difference.  When I first started, I did the same thing you did.  Went slow and in steps.  I found myself using the first models as test beds for experimenting with different techniques.  So, use the Apache for trying out your painting skills, then try a little weathering on her.  Once you get the skills down, go get you another Apache and start from scratch!  But remember.......have fun doing it!  Great first build!  Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!  Yeah that is going to be around the 4th one that I do. I just have not made a list of paints that I would need just yet for the next time I go to the hobby store.

Pretty decent for a first build. Congrats.  Youre lucky theres internet now and you can pick up a lot of things modeling-wise. Mine was an unqualified disaster.  Perhaps in the future you could try painting.  It will surely be more rewarding.

First Build...

Hello,

I am really new to the whole model building and I have already bought a few models that I would like to build. However this is the first one that I have started with. I know many people have been building for many years and I look forward to input and suggestions.

This is my first AH-Apache Helicopter! Skill Level 1, even thou it is a simple build, I still managed to miss a piece when building. Listen learned on the first build.... read all the instructions before you build not while building. Even on a simple build I managed to miss something.

Hope the photo works.
