Howdy. Did Hueys ever fly in supplies for Patton tank crews during Vietnam?

I can't imagine why they wouldn't. Hueys were ubiquitous in Vietnam.

Not a dumb question at all.  I agree with Ghostrider that the huey (VN war workhorse) resupplied many units of all size and locations.  I remember landing in areas to drop food (C-rations) and bullets to units I didn’t even know what they did.

That's the way it usually is in the military - "First to go, last to know"!  I don't know a lot about choppers, but the Huey was one of the most widely used before the Apache came along. It was more than aircraft - it was a lifeline for many soldiers.

Cool, thanks! I was thinking about making a diorama with my 1/32 Revell Huey-D as a slick delivering supplies to my Monogram Patton Tank. Just wanted to make sure I wouldnt be off my rocker lol.

Almost definitely.... My father in-law was with 117th and he's told me in the past that his unit did fire cover, supply runs , troop insertion, medi vac all sorts

He's not the Messiah...... He's a very naughty boy!!
