FREE TOOL FOR MODELLERS
Posted by gnsnow on Thursday, March 25, 2004 11:58 AM
A free little scaling tool for Windows operating systems (scale up or down, choose metric or US units on either side).

http://home.mesastate.edu/~gsnow/Gary/scalar.zip

I threw this together last night for an assignment in one of my classes, so it hasn't been thouroughly tested, but it seems to be working correctly. I know it works on Win 2000 and XP, but I haven't used it anywhere else yet.

Some notes about what's in the zip file (BTW - you need an unzipping tool if don't have one already - Many newer Windows systems have them built in)
there's the scalar.exe file, this is the actual tool, and there's a qt-mtedu320.dll file that's required for the program to run so it just needs to be in the same directory as the scalar.exe.

I wrote this using an educational license so I can't charge anything for it, but I would be interested to know how many people use it, so if you download it, just send me a quick email to let me know. If you have any questions, find any errors, or have any trouble trying to run it, let me know that as well.

My email address is gsnow@mesastate.edu.

Any chance of a version that can run on Mac OS 10.2 or higher?
