Love this helo - I built a multi-media 1/48 scale kit years ago.  All resin, white metal and photo etch - don't recall the manufacturer but a joy to build.  Looking forward to this build.  I have a soft spot for choppers - just hate the canopy masking - lol

Thanks,

John

hat is the same kit I have, they give pontoons aswell as skids.

I have managed to clean up the seams from the assembled boom....;atleast I hope so.....there are many tubes to clean off, only paint will tell.

Looks like a good start. I've got the USCG pontooned version of this kit in the stash that I got from a Toys R Us decades ago (remember when they used to sell kits?) from the clearance bin. Maybe your build will motivate me to get ine out.

I am building this big H-13 together with the small 1/72 Bell 47. Sofar the booms are evenly fiddly to build and clean up.

The engine (Lycoming O-435) is quite nice, here it is in the begining stageswith the swash plate.

There will be loads of pushrods, scat hoses, pipes and electrical wires I will need to make up from scratch.
