Water for stop motion miniature short film

Striker, that's a tough one. I think the lack of responses to your inquiry is simply because we do not have the experience in this forum to advise. My exposure to stop motion is limited to the Wallace and Gromit movies. Searching, however, "mimicking water in stop motion photography" in Yahoo, shows some potential. You might check there, big guy.

I may have to go watch the old claymation Rudolf the red nose reindeer...water will be tough...maybe a gel of some kind..? Cotton or batting may be ok frame by frame for breakers..at least you can position it...can't wait to see what you come up with.
